On 18 November 2022 the neonatal unit received 24 care packs from the volunteer team at Bloodbikes. The Bloodbikes charity transports donor breast milk around a number of hospitals in the South West, and they had received a selection of donated items for new mothers who had an unexpected stay in hospital following a premature birth, including toiletries, hotel style slippers, hairbrush. The boxes were put together with input from Sir Chris Hoy’s wife Sarra following her premature birth.
